Sorry it's been a couple weeks since I posted anything but I've been super busy.  Keith and Jennifer went out of town for a few days and we watched all the kids...which kept me VERY busy!!!    Last Sunday we were blessed with 42 in the morning service!!!  On Thursday evening we had 9 here for Bible Study which was a blessing!!!   Due to the Icy Road conditions we were unable to have services today.  We actually have had our first significant ice and snowy conditions last night and today.  The wind is suposed to pick up tonight which will cause drifts and blowing snow.

There are 2 ladies that need prayers.  Ms. Joshua (she is 80+ yrs. old)fell Thursday and fractued her elbow and broke her hip. They did surgey and put a pin in her hip and she will need physical therapy.  Another lady that lives behind us was in a terrible car accident right after Christmas and was in ICU for several weeks and has now been transferred to another hospital.  We visited her yesterday...she is still in critical condition and needs our prayers!!  Also, the father of one of the little girls that comes to church died from alcohol poisoning....such a waste of a life.  So sad!!!  Remember this little girl and the family he has left behind.

It amazes me at how the Lord supplies for us in some of the most unusual ways.  Wednesday was Food Bank delivery day.  After the delivery came, Doyle was over at the church sorting out the boxes and someone knocked at the church door.  It was the Reservation Game Warden.  He asks if we could use any Elk Meat.  Of course Doyle told him Yes and told him that we had a Food Pantry.  Well.....he said that there was an overabundance of Elk up toward Minot and they had gotten some and taken it to Mobridge and processed it and were giving it away.   They were going to just leave us 1 box but since we had the Food Pantry...they left us "3" boxes which totaled almost 200 POUNDS of FRESH Elk MEAT  (steaks, roasts, ground..ect)!!!!   Praise the Lord...He sure is good to us!!!!!!!!   I had never tasted Elk meat until our friends from Dulce, NM brought us some...and it's really delicious..especially cooked on the grill.

Lord willing and weather permitting, Doyle and I will be taking 3 days off this week for a much needed rest together. It will be the first time in 4 years that we have been anywhere together other than Bismarck!!  We are so Thankful that the Lord sent Keith and Jennifer so this possible.  Before we could not leave the property for fear of vandalism.  We are sooo excited and are going to enjoy the time away together.

Thanking the Lord for ALL he has done,

Sis. Sheri

Wow....what a BUSY 3 days we've had.   Friday was the Christmas Party for the children at church.....Before the Party we took them Christmas Caroling to some of the Elderly People here in Cannon Ball.   We had 45 show up to go caroling and along the way gained 6 more!!   What a blessing it was and the children really enjoyed it. I did take pics and will try to get them posted within the next few days.  We then had our Christmas Party and ALL the children got Presents.  A group from one of our supporting churches had asked for the names of the children that came to Sunday School.  I sent them a list of 45 names....and ALL 45 of those children received a gift card for $20....these and other donations we had received purchased gifts for every child.  But the Lord wasn't through....He had even greater plans!!!  Friends from Dulce, NM had arrived on Thursday evening and  their truck was loaded down with presents from our wonderful Missionary Friends in South Dakota on another Reservation.   There were so many gifts we decided that we would drive thru Cannon Ball and go by every house in the Village passing out gifts to all the children!!!  We did this on Saturday afternoon and it was so much fun and such a blessing!!!  What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!!!!!!!!!

Today was also busy as I celebrated Christs' Birth with my family (Keith, Jennifer, their children, our Foster Children and the couple from Dulce,NM). Doyle is down South (TN/GA) for Christmas with our 2 daughters and their famlies.   Grandma Angie, Grandma Joshua and her daughter and son-in-law came and had Christmas Dinner with us and then we loaded our Church Van along with Keith's Van and all went to church in Selfridge, ND (about 50 miles away) where Bro. Deason is the Pastor.

Thank You Brandon and Patience, Jake and Bailey, Nichole, Jeff, Carey, Bro. & Sis. Bausell and Vincent & Lilllian Veneno for helping to make this Christmas special to the children here in Cannon Ball.  Also, Thank You to the churches and individuals that donated to help make this Christmas so wonderful. It showed these Children that they are Loved not only by us, but by people they have never met and all because of the Greatest Gift of all.....our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!!!

Looking forward to the New Year and the things that the Lord has in store for Cannon Ball!!!

Sis. Sheri  (Please pray for Doyle's safety as he travels home Monday & Tuesday...I sure do miss him!!!!)

Yes....this weekend we had some snow....maybe 3-4 inches along with some VERY cold temperatures.  But our attendance was still good Sunday morning with 38 here.  This year instead of doing a Christmas Cantata, I am taking the kids caroling to the homes of the elderly and shut-ins here in the community.  They have been practicing Christmas songs with a CD...so Sunday morning I told them we were going to sing the songs WITHOUT the CD so I would know how well they knew them and how they sounded without the music.....what a surprise I got!!!  They sounded really good....I was so proud of them!!!!!  They are really excited about going...I don't think any of them have been caroling before.

Thursday CPS brought us 4 more children, ages 6,8,9 and 10 to keep on a temporary basis.  They are suposed to leave today.  This has kept us extrememly busy the past 5 days!!!   Because of the extreme cold weather, they were only able to go outside once for a short time.  But the Lord is good and we have all managed thus far.  Keith and Jennifer have helped out alot!!!

When I started writing this, about 10 minutes ago, it was 10 degrees.  It is now 8 with a wind chill of minus 1.......think I'll get back under that electric blanket for a little while longer!!!!

All of you down south.....enjoy your "Warmer Weather" and I will enjoy my "White Winter".............Sis. Sheri

Sunday was a beautiful sunny day with a good attendance both services....in fact...we broke a Sunday evening record with a high of 39!!!!  Sunday morning we had 34.   Sunday afternoon one of the funeral homes from Bismarck held an Appreciation Dinner at the Community Center and we thought that our Sunday evening Attendance would be down because of that...but the Lord blessed us with just the opposite!!!!   God is sooooo good.

Doyle and Keith are beginning to prepare the buildings for the cold weather that is just around the corner.  Right now the nights are getting into the 30's and the weather reporters are talking about snow showers VERY soon!!!  Some of them are prediciting a harsh winter this year with significant snow amounts.  The elderly people all say the signs are for a bad winter.  Of course, the Lord is in control and is the only one that really knows!  I LOVE the winter and snow and am looking forward to the first snowfall!!!!!!!!!

I haven't mentioned the Foster children in several weeks.  Doyle and I only have 4 now....Jada, Charleze, Junior and Lexi are still with us (we've had them for a year).   Keith and Jennifer have a little 2 yr. old boy named Kayden and last week 4 siblings were placed with them...Hosea (3), Alexis (6), Ally (9) and Averian (11).    Since neither one of us have alot of room we help each other out in the sleeping arrangements....the girls (5 total) sleep at our house and the boys (4 total) sleep at Keith's.   Works out well for both of us.  All but the 3 youngest go to school.

Last week Fed-EX made a delivery and the driver noticed the sign on the back of our church van which says "If you died today are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?   You can be...follow me."      He said.....I AM sure because I am a Christian.    What a blessing that was!!!!!

It is wonderful to be a Christian and serving the Lord!!!       Sis. Sheri

It's been a while since I have added a blog...first I was out of town for 2  1/2 weeks and when I got back home our computer modem was giving us problems and eventually we had to have the modem replaced.  The first Sunday I was back we had 47 Sunday morning and 36 this past week.  We are so excited about how the Lord is blessing!!!!!   On the first Sunday I was back I wanted to drive the Van Route to take the kids home.  One young boy and his sister were my last drop and this boy is normally VERY quiet because he has a bad speech problem, but he sang "Rolled Away" all the way home!!!!  It's such a blessing to know they are learning about the Lord and that he can and will "Roll all our Burdens Away"!!!!

Once again we were reminded of the desperation of some of the people here and how they turn to suicide thinking it will free them of their problems.  One of the men here in the village hung himself last week and they had his funeral Monday.  Doyle had talked to him about the Lord and he been promising for a long time he was going to come to church and he would come down every month for Food from the Pantry........sooooo sad he chose to waste his life on alcohol and riotous living.

Christmas is just around the corner and I ask you to pray about helping the children here in the village.  As always, many of them will go without the proper winter clothing (shoes, socks, coats, ect....). Many of them will also have NO Christmas gifts if others don't supply them.  You can either purchase items and send them UPS to us, or purchase gift cards and send them to us so we can purchase the needed items.  We have between 35-40 regular children on Sunday and if we could get a $10 gift/Gift card for each child that would be WONDERFUL!!!  Please pray about what the Lord would have you to do for the Cannon Ball Children.   It will be greatly appreciated.

Also help us pray for another couple/family to help us.  Keith and Jennifer are a tremendous blessing and a great help....but we could use more help.  There is sooo many more things we could do if we had the necessary help.

Thank You for your love and prayers................Sis. Sheri

My how time flies when your busy!!! August has been VERY busy for us.  Sunday attendance has been averaging around 35..Praise the Lord!!!  This past Sunday one of the new Ladies brought her Boyfriend with her.  Doyle and I had stopped and visited them one afternoon and were encouraged when he came with her.  She also brings her two Grandchildren.

Silent Rae, Tonya and Rayden were given to their Grandmother last week.  We now have 5 children and they are looking for a Relative Placement for Ariana which will leave us 4.  But today Keith and Jennifer got their 1st Foster children and we were so excited for them because it is Zack, Lily and their brother Roy.  Thrilled to have Zack and Lily back!!!!!

Next month, Sept. 4th - 7th, is our Camp Meeting.  Some of our out of town guests attending are from Fort Thompson, SD and others are from Dulce, NM.  We have been busy preparing for those that will be staying here on the property.  Help us pray that souls will be saved and lives here in Cannon Ball will be changed!!!!

Last night 4 of the frequent visitors across the street (Kelly's Bar) came over and talked to Doyle for a long time.  He was able to give them a clear presentation of the Gospel and salvation.  They left here with plenty to think about!!!!  Of course they all promise they will come to church.  Pray that they will come to our meeting in September!!!!

This past Sunday we set a record high on Sunday morning with 50 in attendance and 30 on Sunday evening (and we didn't have anything special to help set this new record)...PRAISE THE LORD.  It looked sooo good to see the church full of people!!!!  There were 2 new visitors and another lady has been coming regular and bringing her 2 grandaughters!!  The Lord is really blessing and giving us good services.   One of the 11 year old girls that has been coming for a long time, got saved this past Tuesday evening.  Please pray for her because neither of her parents come to church.   There are others that we are praying for...children and adults that are coming faithfully that need the Lord.

We have been very busy the past week with the Food Bank....it is such a wonderful outreach and gives us many, many opportunities to witness and invite them to church.  They all promise they will come and someday the Lord is going to remind them of that promise and the church will be overflowing!!!!!  What a blessing that is going to be!!!!!!!!

September 4th-7th will be our 1st revival and we are very excited about it.  Bro. Rome Wager will be the guest speaker along with others.  Please help us pray that the Lord will bless and souls will be saved.  We would love to see some of our supporters come up for this revival!!!!  There is plenty of sleeping room here on the property...may not be a Hilton or even a Ramada ...but it would be comfortable.

Excited to be serving the Lord in Cannon Ball,    Sis. Sheri

It is early Monday morning (6:30am and it's beautiful outside...sun shining and very pleasant 59!!  Doyle has headed South for a couple weeks and I am sure the temperatures there aren't going to be what he is used to...especially the humidity!!!    Pray for safety as he travels the next couple days.

Yesterday we had 37 in the morning service and 27 in the evening service.  Bro. Deason and his family were not here so Keith, Jennifer and I took care of the classes.  I Thank the Lord every day for sending Keith and Jennifer to help us!!!!!

Friday evening Rachelle and the girls left and made it home safely.  Sure did enjoy enjoy our time with them and the kids here loved Rachelle.  She enjoyed spending time with them outside.    After we left the airport  and headed home the weather got bad.  About 2 miles from home we passed some "Storm Chasers" so we stopped right past them.  Doyle got out and looked up...directly above us was a Funnel Cloud...this tornado had been on the ground right before we reached it and was headed towards our house.  We rushed home cause we thought Keith, Jennifer and all the kids were here, but they had seen the Tornado from a distance and had left.   The Lord protected us and it did not touch down here but we watched as the cloud passed on the other side of Keiths trailer, crossed the river and touched down somewhere on the other side.  Later that evening another Funnel cloud crossed the property on the other side of the church and once again the Lord protected us.  Everyone was over at the church when this one passed.   SOOOO Thankful for the Lords protecting hand upon us that evening!!!

Looking forward to another week serving the Lord here in Cannon Ball,        Sis. Sheri

Even tho this past week was very busy..Doyle and I managed to get away for a couple nights by ourselves for a much needed rest....first time in a LONG time we were able to be gone overnight.   Rachelle is still here so she helped Keith and Jennifer with the kids.  It was very relaxing (for us anyway!!)  Keith preached Sunday morning and we were back for the Sunday evening service.  For the 4th we had a cookout with the church and had about 17 people here.  After they left we were able to watch all the Fireworks from our yard.  Kids really enjoyed that.

Rachelle and the girls leave Friday evening and then on Monday Doyle is leaving for a trip down south to take care of a few things and bring some things back that Keith and Jennifer did not have room for in their moving truck.  He will be gone for a couple weeks.....soooo Thankful that Keith is here to take care of the services while he's gone.

The Food Bank has been VERY busy lately.  Last month we gave out over 40 boxes of food and over 120 Gospel Tracks.  We now have enough Bibles from the Beams ministry that we can include those in the boxes this month.  Praise the Lord for the way he provides so that we can give to the people here!!!

This past week a young lady, age 21, from here in Cannon Ball ended her life.  We are aquainted with her grandmother that she was living with but had never met the girl.  Please pray for this family during this sad time in their lives....they need the Lord!!!!

Happy in the Service of the King!!!!   Sis. Sheri

Even tho it's already Wednesday I thought I would go ahead and post Sundays report.  The Deasons were out of town Sunday but we still had 36 here for Sunday morning and 27 on Sunday night.  Praise the Lord for ALL his blessings and allowing us to be a part of the lives of the people here in Cannon Ball.....we LOVE it!!!!

Keith and Jennifer were able to move into their trailer yesterday.....they were sooo excited.  It really looks nice after all the remodeling!!!!  Think there are a still a few minor things to do.  I told Doyle that my trailer is next.....Don't know how far that statement went but it really could use some work on the inside and a new deck out front.

Bismarck/Mandan is bracing for a flood from the Missouri River.   ALOT of people have already evacuated their homes and they are predicting several hundred homes will flood along with alot of businesses on the south side of Bismarck.  The river flows through the reservation and Ft. Yates will get some flooding....but we are far enough from the river that the flood waters won't effect us.

Thanking the Lord for His protection.........Sis. Sheri
