I added a New Album in Picasa titled "March Thaw 2009".  There are some interesting pictures we took this afternoon of one area of the Cannon Ball River that  normally is just about dried up....but as you will be able to see, it is much more than that now.  Snow has begun to melt with the warmer temperatures we've been having.  But big chunks of snow floating down the river are causing Ice Jams which in turn are causing alot of flooding.  The flood waters are within a foot or so of crossing the road in a couple spots and if they do, we will be cut off from going to Bismarck!!

It seems strange that with the warmer weather...our water lines are frozen....but I guess it has taken this long for the ground to freeze to the 4 feet where the lines are only buried that deep.  So today we made our first visit to the laundromat and to the showers at the Truck Stop in Bismarck.   Maybe it won't take the Lines too long to thaw out!!   But then again....they have posted a Blizard watch out for the first part of next week (Monday night and Tuesday I think)!!

Marie called yesterday and said she and Tex needed a ride to church tomorrow along with her grandaughter and spouse.  Also Arvala was released from the hospital Friday and she is suposed to come tomorrow. (She has already told us that her sister is going to give her a hard time....so please pray for Arvala.)  There are also several other adults that have said they were coming.....so maybe we'll have more adults in the service!!

While in Bismarck today we went by the hospital to visit Anthony and we able to meet his 12 yr. old son, his mother and his niece.  Anthony has to stay in the hospital another week, but he said as soon as he gets out he is coming to church!!  We invited his mother to come but she didn't say whether she would or not.  Anthony is really "warming" up to Doyle more each time we visit and we're praying that Doyle can help him grow in the Lord and keep him on the right track once he gets home.  It will be a struggle for him because his old friends and unsaved family members will give him a hard time.  Please keep Anthony in your prayers.

Looking forward to a good day tomorrow.....will keep you posted.......Sis. Sheri

I took 3 up close pictures of the snow blower and put them  (along with the 2 videos) on picasa in a new album titled "Snow Blower".  We've had several people ask us what it looks like and how it works....here's the answer to those questions.

We visited Tex and Marie today.  He was really glad to see us and Marie talked like she was coming to church again.  Pray that they do.

I can't really tell everything that goes on here for sounding like a broken record....but my heart is more burdened every day for the people here and for the kids that have to live under such terrible circumstances.  It would be hard to convey just how bad it really is and not just in one or two homes....but probably 90% of them.

Please pray for the Native Americans!!          Sis. Sheri

The guys are really busy today!!  Some of them are putting a new roof on our front porch while others are working in the church on the pews, pulpit, floors, ect..  What a blessing they are!!  I really don't know what we would have done without them.  We may not let them leave!! Kevin is trying to give me a "crash" course at the computer...he's got a job on his hands.  I have tried to add some more pictures to the Picasa photos....take a look.   Thanks for all your prayers.

Good news!  We were able to get Doyle and Sheri's webcam up and running today.  If you're interested in sharing webcam sessions with the Hall's, please send and email so that we can help you configure them as an instant messenger contact.

PS:  I was able to upload yesterday's new photos this morning.

Good morning Everyone!  All I can say is that the stars are something to behold up here in North Dakota.  Wow.  I mean wow.

The DSL service issues have been resolved.  I'll be teaching Sheri how to maintain the blog herself this evening.  Hopefully, her and Doyle will be posting their own thoughts and experiences before too much longer.

I have uploaded some of the photos from yesterday and will soon be taking more.

Today is paint day!  We're hoping to paint the sanctuary and other portions of the worship building.  So far, I've managed to get out of the hard stuff by "getting the internet fixed."  I'll have to come up with a better excuse tomorrow for getting out of things.

PS:  We got the water running in the church building this morning!  Finally, hot showers!  Good job Crew!

Hi Everyone!  We had a great day today.  From 10 PM Sunday night until 7-ish PM Monday night, we covered 1300 miles!  I (Kevin) ate just about anything I could get my hands on, Gary took a wrong turn, Lynn tried to take a nap, Doyle drove the whole trip, Hobert pumped a lot of gasoline, Billy ate a nice looking steak, Ted told some great stories, Pastor Rick kept some of us from sleeping, and Sheri walked the dog.

To see photos from today's trip, check out Doye & Sheri's Picasa Website.

We have stopped in Aberdeen for the night and have been blessed with a motel that has wireless internet:

The plan is to get up early and arrive in Cannon Ball before noon.  Please continue to remember us in your prayers.  The easy part is over; the fun stuff begins tomorrow :-)
