So Thankful that everything seems to be back to normal with most of our kids feeling much better!!!   We had 36 at church Sunday morning and 29 Sunday evening.  The Children that we pick up on the Van were all excited to get back......sure did miss them the past 2 weeks!!!!

Our weather here has been VERY unusual for this time of year.  Most of the time by the middle of January we have had several snow storms....so far we haven't had our first one yet!!!   Not complaining....just enjoying the warm weather (has been in the upper 40's to mid 50's) while it lasts!!!

We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this new year....looking for growth in the church and souls to be saved!!!  We're praying that some of our supporters (and anyone else) will plan trips up this way!!  Would like to have VBS this summer....praying a church (one or more) will come up for that.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support.    Sis. Sheri

Praise the Lord....Kaden was released from hospital on Friday afternoon....makes it much easier for all of us.  Katelyn is still coughing really bad but her fever has finally broke.  Now "Weasie" (Keith and Jennifers 3 yr. old Foster Boy) has begun running a fever and coughing.  Please remember Katelyn and Weasie when you pray.   Everyone one in our household (mine and Doyles) seems to be well at this point after several of them went through the cold and cough.

We are looking forward to a good day tomorrow and anxious to see all the Bus Kids again!!

Thanking the Lord for His healing hand!!!     Sis. Sheri

Yes....this weekend we had some snow....maybe 3-4 inches along with some VERY cold temperatures.  But our attendance was still good Sunday morning with 38 here.  This year instead of doing a Christmas Cantata, I am taking the kids caroling to the homes of the elderly and shut-ins here in the community.  They have been practicing Christmas songs with a CD...so Sunday morning I told them we were going to sing the songs WITHOUT the CD so I would know how well they knew them and how they sounded without the music.....what a surprise I got!!!  They sounded really good....I was so proud of them!!!!!  They are really excited about going...I don't think any of them have been caroling before.

Thursday CPS brought us 4 more children, ages 6,8,9 and 10 to keep on a temporary basis.  They are suposed to leave today.  This has kept us extrememly busy the past 5 days!!!   Because of the extreme cold weather, they were only able to go outside once for a short time.  But the Lord is good and we have all managed thus far.  Keith and Jennifer have helped out alot!!!

When I started writing this, about 10 minutes ago, it was 10 degrees.  It is now 8 with a wind chill of minus 1.......think I'll get back under that electric blanket for a little while longer!!!!

All of you down south.....enjoy your "Warmer Weather" and I will enjoy my "White Winter".............Sis. Sheri

The past 2 Sundays the Lord has blessed us with good attendance in the morning and evening services.   Yesterday the Grandmother of some of Keith and Jennifers Foster children attended both services and said she would be back next weekend.  We are planning a Thanksgiving meal for next Sunday afternoon.  There are so many things I am Thankful......all of our supporters that pray for us and make it possible for us to be here, the many ways that the Lord supplies our needs, being able to spread the Gospel through distributing tracts, the Food Pantry that enables us to help the needy in the community, the Van that the Lord has blessed us with to pick up CHildren and adults for church services, the Faithful Adults that attend our services that give us encouragement when we need it along with all the precious children that come so anxious and smiling to Sunday School...the list goes on and on.   I am Thankful for my wonderful Home Church and Pastor that I know prays for us and is there to help and encourage us.  But most of all I am Thankful for Jesus who died on the cross for my sins that I could live eternally in Heaven!!

Looking forward to the coming Holidays,     Sis. Sheri

First Sunday in November...next to the last month of this year...my how this year has flown by!!!   The Lord has been good to us and the church has grown this year and we are sooo Thankful.  We had 43 this morning with ALOT of our regular children missing....the Lord just keeps giving us new ones to take the place of those that are missing!!!!!  If we could get them all here at the same time we would have well over 55-60  Sunday mornings.   Evening Services are growing also.  We are just praising the Lord for what He is doing!!!  During the winter months we have moved the Thursday night Bible study back into my house so we don't have to heat up the church building....I like it better in the house anyway so I can fix refreshments for those that come and we can have a time of fellowship afterwards.

A very dear preacher friend of ours passed away, Brother Frank Ledford.  His funeral is today in Murphy, NC.  Please say a prayer for his wife and daughters.  Bro. Frank performed our wedding ceremony over 40 years ago and he was our Pastor for many years in Ohio and GA.  A great man of God and he will be missed.

During this season of Thankfulness....I am especially Thankful for the fulfillment of Gods promises to us as we serve Him here in North Dakota.  What are you thankful for?

Our CampMeeting went very well.  We started out with a record high on Sunday morning of 58!!  Each evening service we averaged 35-40...morning services were alot less.  It was a very busy 4 days ...ALOT of cooking had to be done as we had lunch after each morning services and supper at 5:30 for everyone....then refreshments after each eveing service.  I was very tired by Wedensday evening but it was worth it all because several people redidicated their lives to the Lord and 1 soul was saved!!!!!!!   Bro. Rome and Bro. Todd were a real blessing to our people and we are Thankful the Lord allowed them to come.  Several others came from Dulce, NM and they were a blessing also.

Thanking the Lord for a good week.........Sis. Sheri

It is early Monday morning (6:30am and it's beautiful outside...sun shining and very pleasant 59!!  Doyle has headed South for a couple weeks and I am sure the temperatures there aren't going to be what he is used to...especially the humidity!!!    Pray for safety as he travels the next couple days.

Yesterday we had 37 in the morning service and 27 in the evening service.  Bro. Deason and his family were not here so Keith, Jennifer and I took care of the classes.  I Thank the Lord every day for sending Keith and Jennifer to help us!!!!!

Friday evening Rachelle and the girls left and made it home safely.  Sure did enjoy enjoy our time with them and the kids here loved Rachelle.  She enjoyed spending time with them outside.    After we left the airport  and headed home the weather got bad.  About 2 miles from home we passed some "Storm Chasers" so we stopped right past them.  Doyle got out and looked up...directly above us was a Funnel Cloud...this tornado had been on the ground right before we reached it and was headed towards our house.  We rushed home cause we thought Keith, Jennifer and all the kids were here, but they had seen the Tornado from a distance and had left.   The Lord protected us and it did not touch down here but we watched as the cloud passed on the other side of Keiths trailer, crossed the river and touched down somewhere on the other side.  Later that evening another Funnel cloud crossed the property on the other side of the church and once again the Lord protected us.  Everyone was over at the church when this one passed.   SOOOO Thankful for the Lords protecting hand upon us that evening!!!

Looking forward to another week serving the Lord here in Cannon Ball,        Sis. Sheri

We had a very good Sunday......had 2 new ladies come to the Morning and Evening Service and said they would be back....Both of these ladies are a result of our Food Bank outreach!!!!  Another couple that had been here in the past were back and said they were going to start coming again including Bible Study on Thursday nights!!  So even tho the attendance of children was down a little, the adult attendance was up giving us a total of 32 on Sunday morning.

Looks like we are going to have to wait until Spring to start building as the funds are coming in very slowly.  But thats Ok because we know the Lord is in control and will wait on his perfect timing.  Doyle and Keith have been busy getting things around here done and it will be soon time to make sure our trailers are ready for the winter months.

I've been enjoying time with Liberty, Shel and Nevada.  Shel talked her Dad into mowing "trails" with spaces for each child a "house" out in the back field.  Then yesterday Shel taught them how to "furnish" their house from extra wood and other things that weren't being used.  They now have doors, tables, couches, ect....in almost every "house" out in the field!!  Not sure who had more fun, Shel or the kids!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoying the summer,       Sis. Sheri

The past 3 weeks have been extremely busy....alot of Medical Screenings for the children and Lexi also had to be referred to an Orthodontist in Bismarck.  She is going to have a tooth fixed on July 1st at the Surgery Center in Bismarck cause she will have to be put to sleep for them to fix it.

The weather here has been pleasant for the most part....a couple hot days and then several cool days with quite a bit of rain lately.  Alot of towns here in North Dakota are flooding and there has been a Mandatory evacuation in Minot...everyone has to be out by Wednesday evening cause they say the flood there is going to be the worse Minot has ever had.   Please pray for the families that are losing their homes...not only here in North Dakota but further south as well.

PowWow season has begun.  The past 2 Sundays we have had in the upper 20's to mid 30's.  Yesterday we had 27 in the morning and about 24 in the evening.  In the summer months our attendance fluctuates alot...especially on Sunday evenings.  The kids are outside playing and most of the time don't want to stop to come to church.  Think I will start a weekly Sunday night VBS class and see how that goes.   The younger kids are very easy to please but it takes more to please the Pre-teens.

Our youngest Daughter, Rachelle, and the girls (Liberty and Nevada) arrived last Thursday evening.  They will be here until July 8th.  We haven't done alot yet dut did manage to visit the Thrift Store in Solen today....that was alot of fun....LOVE that store!!!!!!

Enjoying time with the Grandkids,     Sis. Sheri

We have been extrememly busy the past 3 weeks.  Keith and Jennifer arrived safely and Keith and Doyle are busy trying to get the trailer ready for them to move into by the end of this month.   It is sooo nice to have someone here to stay!!!!  Sunday went really well with around 35 Sunday morning and in the 20's Sunday night.  Thought spring might have finally arrived but today Weather man said we might a "wintery mix" tonight.   We are so ready for warm weather!!!

My mother came with Keith & Jennifer but she is leaving tomorrow to go to my sisters in Arizona.  It has been fun and the Foster Children love her...she would have them spoiled if she was here much longer!!!!    She and I managed to get away for a couple days so I took her to Medora, ND to view the Badlands.  It is always such a beautiful sight!!!   The next day we traveled a little further west into Montana (just to say we had been there) and ate lunch in a very quaint little restaurant in Wibeau, Montana.    Headed home slowly and did a little shopping in some shops in the small towns along the way.    I sure did need the time off and it was a very pleasant break for me.

We would sure love to build this summer but the funds are coming in very slowly.  Right now we are in such a need for more space....praying the Lord will supply the funds needed to start construction soon enough to be able to complete the building before cold weather sets in again.  Help us pray about this.

Summer is going to be a busy time as we want to start some weekly activities for the church youth.  Don't think we have anyone coming up to hold VBS this summer...we will have to think of an alternative to a week long VBS that the 4 of us can do.  Schools are all out by the end of this month so we will have to do some quick planning.

Thanks everyone for your love, prayers and support....it means so much to us.  The Lord knows our hearts and we want Him to be uplifted and glorified in all we do.

Happily serving the Lord..........Sis. Sheri
