The past 2 weeks have been very busy. Last Sunday we had in the upper 30's on Sunday morning and on Sunday evening we had about 30. I had my hands full upstairs with 20 kids from ages 2 to 12. I told Doyle we were going to have to figure out something on Sunday evenings until Keith and Jennifer were here to help out...it's just too hard with just one person and the big age span. They always seem so wired up in the evenings.
Today we had 35 in the morning service. Doyle woke up not feeling very well and by the evening he had taken to the bed...so we werent' able to have a service tonight. Please pray that he will get over whatever it is that has taken hold on him again.
I have a busy week ahead.....I was made Treasurer for the Headstart since 3 of our Foster Children attend there and we have several Fundraising Events coming up. Saturday they had a Bake/Rummage Sale which did Okay. They need to raise about $3000 for the 19 students that are graduating. I thought it was kinda silly to make such a fuss over kids that are graduating from Headstart into Kindergarden and then they will graduate all over again next year from Kindergarden!! But my own children never went through a Headstart or Preschool program so I guess thats the way it works (??). Anyway....I enjoy being involved because it gives me a chance to get to know more of the people and invite them to church.
I sure am ready for spring.....but heard we may get more snow this week.....the Lord knows what we need!!! This morning I told one of the men I was ready for the snow to go away and he said we were gonna have snow on the ground till July.....and then laughed!!!
Gotta run....sounds like the kids are taking the room apart!!! Sis. Sheri
