We had a wonderful Sunday with 36 in attendance Sunday morning and 38 Sunday evening.  Until Keith and Jenninfer arrive we decided to split Sunday evenings by having the childlren come at 5:00 and the adults at 6:00.  Doyle taught the older kids and I taught the younger ones.  This worked out very good and it sure was alot better than me trying to teach all of them by myself!!!!

Alot of our snow has melted and we are beginning to see the ground again.....but predictions are a new storm is possibly on its way Tuesday/Wed.  Don't know if we will get much of it...sure hope not.  We need this to melt away so the ground can thaw and dry up by the first of May!!  Keith and Jennifer will be arriving and there is alot of work to be done to their Mobile Home.....so excited!!!!!!

Please keep praying about helping out with the finances for a new auditorium....we desperately need one.  As I said before, we want to begin construction in June and are going to need work crews.....pray about that also.  God can do ANYTHING!!!!

We had a good weekend after the Blizzard that came through on Friday.....turned our 5 ft. drifts into 8 ft. drifts.  But this week we are suposed to have temperatures into the mid 40's so hopefully some of this will begin to melt.  Sunday morning we had 31 in attendance with 23 Sunday evening.  One of the families had a death ( a mother had twin babies and one didn't survive...a very sad situation) so a few of the regular children were not here.

Atleast 6-7 months out of the year it is cold with freezing temperatures, snow on the ground and wind chillls that make it extremely dangerous to be outdoors for any length of time.  During those months we don't have the facilities to have any kind of activities for the church other than in my living room.  When we have a dinner I have to take the children that ride the Van home before the dinner because of the lack of space.  We desperatley need an auditorium (with windows) built on the front of our current building.  The existing building could then be used for dinners and recreation for the church kids during the winter months.  It is also hard to build a church without Fellowship besides just having church services.  Everyone needs good Christian Fellowship.  We have been here for almost 3 years and this community NEEEDS to see something happening to prove to them that our God is not dead!!!!!   We have prayed alot concerning this and would like to build this summer.....hopefully in June. This will cost approximately $25,000.   Please consider helping with the finances by sending a donation to our home church.....New Life Baptist Church...P.O. Box 3863...Dalton, Ga  30719.....with the notation....CANNONBALL Building Fund.  All donations are Tax dedutible but the Heavenly rewards will be MUCH GREATER than any government deduction!!!!!  We will also need work crews so pray about forming a group to come help us build!!!! If you have any questions please call Doyles Cell phone #706-934-4555.  The Lord is blessing here and we're so excited about the future.  Keith and Jennifer will be here soon and the Lord is going to use them in a great way as we labor together for the Lord!!!!

Thank you for your love, prayers and support,     Sis. Sheri & Bro. Doyle

The past 2 weeks have been very busy.  Last Sunday we had in the upper 30's on Sunday morning and on Sunday evening we had about 30.  I had my hands full upstairs with 20 kids from ages 2 to 12.  I told Doyle we were going to have to figure out something on Sunday evenings until Keith and Jennifer were here to help out...it's just too hard with just one person and the big age span.  They always seem so wired up in the evenings.

Today we had 35 in the morning service.  Doyle woke up not feeling very well and by the evening he had taken to the bed...so we werent' able to have a service tonight.  Please pray that he will get over whatever it is that has taken hold on him again.

I have a busy week ahead.....I was made Treasurer for the Headstart since 3 of our Foster Children attend there and we have several Fundraising Events coming up.  Saturday they had a Bake/Rummage Sale which did Okay.  They need to raise about $3000 for the 19 students that are graduating.  I thought it was kinda silly to make such a fuss over kids that are graduating from Headstart into Kindergarden and then they will graduate all over again next year from Kindergarden!!  But my own children never went through a Headstart or Preschool program so I guess thats the way it works (??).  Anyway....I enjoy being involved because it gives me a chance to get to know more of the people and invite them to church.

I sure am ready for spring.....but heard we may get more snow this week.....the Lord knows what we need!!!  This morning I told one of the men I was ready for the snow to go away and he said we were gonna have snow on the ground till July.....and then laughed!!!

Gotta run....sounds like the kids are taking the room apart!!!   Sis. Sheri
