Despite the fact that we were down in number this Sunday..we had a good day.  There were 20 in the morning service and 17 in the evening.  I had the kids all by myself today and they were very good.  They LOVE the flannelgraph stories and are very attentive!!!  Roy, who is one of our Foster Children, came home and told Doyle the story all over plus the part that I reviewed with them that I taught last Sunday night!!!

Needless to say, we have been VERY busy with the 3 kids!!  The oldest is ADHD, the middle one who is 6 yrs. old, cannot communicate very well because he has a definite speech problem, and the little one (3 yrs. old) is so sweet but she has a temper!!!  So we are dealing with multiple situations and it can very exhausting at times.  Please pray that the Lord will give us the wisdom and strength we need each day.

This week we have a busy schedule, all 3 kids have a Drs. appt today, tomorrow there is a Food Bank Meeting we need to attend, and the rest of the week will be busy with calls for the Food Pantry.  The end of the month proves to be our busiest time for food requests and that keeps Doyle pretty busy.

Hope you have a good week!!   Happy serving the Lord in CannonBall....Sis. Sheri

We had a really good Father's Day Sunday...there were 34 present on Sunday morning....one new couple and their 15 yr. old daughter came!!!  Afterwards we had a time of Fellowship and we were able to talk with the couple.  Pray that they will continue to come.     Sunday evening we had 18 here....I got to use my New Flannelgraph to tell the story and the kids loved it!!!   Thank You so much Lutpon Drive Baptist Church for purchasing the flannelgraph for us!!!

We have been approved as Foster Parents and yesterday they brought us 3 children ( Ages 3,6, and 9).  Both their parents are incarcerated and CPS is looking for a home off the reservation for them.  Xavier is still here with also but I'm not too sure if he is going to want to stay with the other 3 here.  Please pray for us....these 3 have been through so much and they need someone to care for them and really love them!!!

The kids are beginning to wake up....headed for a BUSY day!!!   Sis. Sheri

It's been quite a week with some very unexpected events!!   First let me givde you Sunday's report...I didn't think we would have hardly anyone here because of the PowWow at the Cannon Ball PowWow grounds....but we ended up with 21!!!  What a blessing that was.   But Sunday evening most of them were going to the PowWow so we took a small group of 8 and went to services at Bro. Deasons.

Now the events of the week....on Monday afternoon Tonya broke her arm and we ended up in the ER and then to Bismarck where she had surgery on Tuesday afternoon.  She is doing better and Mom got out of jail yesterday.. so she's back at home.  On Thursday Ms. Angie fell at home and I was back at the ER with her.  She sprained her ankle and injured her shoulder...but we were glad there were no broken bones.

Last Wednesday evening Ms. Angie came over with her sister, nephew and their Landlord and while they were here we started talking about the Lord and how good he is and what a change he makes in a persons life.  The nephew, who is 40 years old, said he "thought" he had been saved but after listening to us talk, he realized he didn't have what we have.  So he knelt down in our living room and ask the Lord to come into his heart!!!!  His name is Bruce and he will be facing some obstacles in his life and definately needs prayers!!   They live in Williston, ND which is about 4 hours or so from here.

There are other things happening right now that we definately need you to help us pray about.  Wish I could tell you what they are but I am not at liberty to do that on my blog.  As I mentioned last week,  PLEASE help us pray about the need for a Children's Home.  We have now been approved to be Foster Parents, just a temporary license until our background checks are processed.

Pray that we will make the right decisions.          Sis. Sheri

I can certainly tell that Summer is here.   Our attendance was down to 16 Sunday morning and 11 Sunday evening.  Some of our people were still sleeping, some gone fishing and others had "more important" things to do on a beautiful sunny day.  In spite of the small number, we had a good day.  Bro. Deason began conducting "Children's Church" for ages 6 and up and that went very well....he preached to them and said they all listened well.   For the first time in a LONG time..I was able to sit in the adult service and listen to my husband preach!!  Ms. Angie, Evangeline and I enjoyed the message very much!!

Once again, continue to help us pray about the Children's Home.  We had an incident happen that made us realize even more how NEEDED a home is. I can't share the details with you on this blog, but you can call if you want more information.   Please pray for all the children here on the reservation.  Life is so hard for them.

Thank you for all your prayers and support.  It means so much to us.   This weekend, beginning Friday, is the Cannon Ball POW WOW...our attendance will definately be affected!!  Pow Wow starts Friday evening and goes through Sunday evening.  Pray for our services.

The group from Lupton Drive arrived Saturday evening and we've been busy ALL week!!!  Sunday morning we had 54.  The kids VBS lessons started in the morning and went through Tuesday afternoon.  We had services Sunday morning-Wed. evening.  Most days for VBS we avg. about 25 kids and the evening services average was 35 or so.  It was a wonderful time and a time of "bonding" for the kids here.  This group had a great influence on them...they will be talking about it for a looooong time!!!   The Lord has certianly blessed us with some wonderful supporting churches.

Continue to help us pray about the finances for materials to build a Children's Home.  It is very much needed!!!  Our little trailer housed 8-10 kids several nights this past week.  Not just due to the fact we were having VBS...but they had no where else to go.   PRAY that the Lord will provide the funds quickly!!

Looking forward to what the rest of our summer will bring...........Sis. Sheri
