We've had a busy week.  The Food Pantry has opened up new doors and this Sunday there were 2 new children here from one of those homes.  Their Aunt brought them Sunday morning and then we took them home on the Van and then picked them up Sunday evening.  I believe that having the Food Pantry is going to eventually bring in even more.  The majority of them may be children...but they are the future of this Reservation!!  Thank You for all those back home that have donated to this Fund!!!

Doyle took me to Fargo yesterday morning (we left around 5am) and I arrived in Chattanooga around 11:15PM last night.  It was a LONG day and I am still very tired this morning.  It will probably take me days to get over it!!!!!  Baby waited for Mammaw and if she doesn't come on her own they will induce Jennifer's labor next Tuesday morning, March 2nd. In the meantime I will enjoy the other 4 granddaughters.

The Lord is soooo good to us!!  It amazes it how we can be praying about something and God will answer that prayer from a direction that we never would have dreamed of.  It happens over and over again but each time still amazes me!!!   When things here begin to look a little "grim" or hopeless, the Lord will do something that lifts us up and reminds us that He is in control.  What a wonderful God we serve.

For those of you who will see me while I am at home...there are many things I'd like to share with you..........Sis. Sheri

I had a good group of kids Sunday...12 of them and they were very well behaved.  We learned 2 new songs, had our lesson and then they made their parents/grandparents a Valentine.  Sunday evening my group was even smaller with only 5 attending.   There is one family of children that I have requested prayer for because both parents have been in jail.  The Mother got out the other day and was out less than 3 days before being picked up for DUI again.  She is now back in jail and we have been told won't be out again until August!!  My heart goes out to the kids....they are without both parents again and for such a long time.  They are staying with the grandmother.  It just breaks our hearts to see the kids go through things like this and the effect that it has on them.  Please pray for them!!!

The Lord has been good to us and our family.  Rachelle had an wreck on Saturday due to ice on the road...the 3 kids were with her but noone was hurt.  Jennifer is due anyday now and I am hoping our new little granddaughter will wait till Mammaw gets there to make her arrival (I arrive in Chattanooga next Monday night).  Please pray for a safe delivery and safe travels for me.

This past week God has answered prayers and provided for us and we are so Thankful.  Thank You to everyone that has given to the Food Bank Fund.  It is such a blessing to be able to help the ones in need here and you are a part of that in your giving.  I LOVE being able to help others...it brings such a Joy in my heart that I cannot explain. I love to be able to give the kids a snack when they get off the Van on Sundays and being able to purchase through the Food Bank makes this much easier financially.

Please continue to help us pray that the Lord will send someone to help us soon.  There are so many things that can be done here for the Lord and we sure could use some help to get them accomplished.  We could easily fill the Van up 2 or 3 times each Sunday if we had the help needed to handle that many kids!!   Pray, Pray, Pray for the Lord to send  someone!!!

Anxiously awaiting our new little grandbaby!!

Serving the Lord in Cannon Ball and loving every minute!!!!         Sis. Sheri

Can't beleive it's already Feb....seems like January just flew by!!   It has been snowing...not large amounts...but just enough to make it difficult to get around much.  We had services in the morning with 16 present.  We canceled the evening service because of the frigid cold air and dangerous wind chills.   Yesterday morning after we got back to the church from picking the kids up on the van, Ms. Angie called and said her car was stuck in the snow and she wouldn't be able to make it to church.  Well...Doyle said about halfway through his message...Ms. Angie walks in.  She had shoveled her way out and came on to church!!!   For those of you who haven't met Ms. Angie, she is over 70 years old!!!  That's how important coming to the church is to her!!!!   She is such a blessing to us and encouragement to us and we are so Thankful the Lord sent her our way.

There are some things that the Lord has laid on our hearts to do and we sure do ask for extra prayers as we begin to make preparations to carry out what we feel the Lord wants done here in Cannon Ball.  We know that once a week with these kids is NOT enough.  There is way too much out there that's drawing them in the opposite direction of what we're teaching them and too much that goes on in their daily home lives that supports that opposite direction!!!  We've got to have more time with them.  When they reach age 11-12 if we haven't reached them by them....they're gone...and I see some of them reaching that time frame within the next year and I DON"T want to lost them!!!   We KNOW that if we do not have the things here to offer them as far as fun, games, entertainment...along with the Word of the Lord..and more than just one hour a week on Sunday morning/Sunday night...then we are going to lose them to what the world is offering them.  Please....pray......for the kids here in Cannon Ball...for their salvation, their protection and safety, their home lives... and that the Lord will help US to be able to reach them.

Burdened for the Children in Cannon Ball,      Sis. Sheri

The Lord was gracious and our water lines thawed out quickly and none of them busted as far as we can tell!!  We were prepared to do without water for quite some time but the Lord had other plans and we are thankful for that.   Thanks for your prayers.

We were able to have services this weekend with 21 in the morning service and 11 in the evening. On Friday of this week we visited another Missionary and his wife that live about 2 hours away with a Baptist Mission in "Wakpala" here on the Reservation.  They have been in the area for over 20 years. It was such a blessing to be able to talk to someone that understands.

This past Thursday evening for Bible Study we had 2 new ladies attend which was a blessing.  On Sundays they attend another church but said they would be back this week for the Bible Study.

We woke up this morning with quite a surprise....no water.  The lines under our trailer had frozen up.  We do have the freeze tape on them...but a breaker had gone off some time during the night which apparently controlled the plug where freeze tape was plugged into...so our lines froze up.  Needless to say, Doyle was not too happy with the job of having to dig through the 5 foot drift that the water turn off was under!!!  But he was successful it doing that...but don't know how long we will be without water or if the pipes will burst once they thaw out.  But Praise the Lord....we can carry water in buckets from the church for washing dishes and flushing our toilets...and we can even go to the church to take showers.  We'll just have to go to Bismarck to do the Laundry (atleast washing the clothes).  Please pray it won't cost alot for repairs as our finances look pretty slim this month.

I just had a phone call from my Mother who informed me that my aunt passed away this morning.  Please keep my Mother, her sisters and brother in your prayers.  This was their youngest sister and it will be hard for them.

Praising the Lord even without the convenience of running water......Sis. Sheri
