Due to the Blizzard we were unable to have services this weekend.  This Blizzard began Friday evening and is still with us this morning and they say the high winds will continue through most of today. Sunday we were without power most of the day.  Praise the Lord we were able to keep warm with our portable propane heater and had candles and lanterns for light.  We really did not get that much new snow, maybe 6 inches or snow, but the wind sure has blown the past 2 days causing plenty of high drifts.  Saturday we had several phone calls from people wanting candles, food, transportation to pick up a family member, ect........the people had been told this storm was coming but many chose to ignore the warnings.  Reminded me of the Story of the 10 virgins in the Bible.  Sad thing is...we are here telling them about the coming of the Lord and many are chosing to ignore it and they will be unprepared for His return.

Pray for us as we are here "weathering" out this storm.  Sounds like the wind is going to rip part of the roof right off one end of this old trailer...pray that it stays in tack until this storm passes. Once it's over Doyle will have to go on top and see what damage has been done.

Staying inside where it's warm,       Sis. Sheri

We have been very busy.  Our 2nd blizzard (this one lasted 2 days) of the year came through giving us about 8-10 inches of fresh snow....we have drifts that are over head high in places.  It is really beautiful.  Wednesday we had scheduled to give away the clothes that Dennis Parker had brought up his last trip. It snowed all night Tuesday but those who could get out (and there were many of them) came....after 2 pm the wind picked up and the weather got too bad....so we rescheduled and gave some away on Friday also.

As posted before, "Tex" passed away.  His wake is on Thursday and funeral is Friday.  Doyle will be preaching at the wake and the funeral along with another minister....the funeral will be the traditional catholic funeral with the Priest and everything....so it should be interesting!  Remember him in prayer along with Marie and her family.  The Children's Choir is also going to be singing!!!!!  His Grandaughter is in the choir and several others are related otherwise.  They are excited about it and chose their favorite songs to sing.

Sunday morning we had 23.  Sunday night due to the death of Tex we didn't think we'd have very many because of things going on with the family...but the Lord blessed with 16 in attendance...most of them were my kids....but that was Okay.  Here when they have funerals the majority of them are held at the Community Center and they decorate it with pictures/balloons/banners..ect.   Sunday night the kids made a special Banner from the Children's Choir with a picture of the choir on it...they all signed it and it said  "We will miss you, Tex........Children's Choir at New Life Baptist Mission".   We'll hang it up in the Community Center and everyone in the area will know that New Life Baptist Mission is here and doing something special with the kids!!!  Praise the Lord.   The kids enjoyed making it and it ended up looking very nice.

Yesterday morning the Lord blessed us with a White Winter Wonderland....everything was solid white.  There was a VERY heavy frost and even the eyebrows on my cats outside had layer of fuzzy white frost on them!!!   Bella went outside for just a few minutes and came back in with layers of frost on her fur!!  The frost on the tree branches was thicker than I have ever seen it and I took some close up pictures that I will try to get posted later today.  But for now....

Keep praying for us here in the Winter Wonderland of North Dakota!!      Sis. Sheri

I arrived home Late Friday evening to a VERY cold minus 25/wind chill minus 46 (my body was once again in WEATHER SHOCK)..but otherwise it was good to be back in North Dakota!!  We also have PLENTY of snow if anybody wants to come up and enjoy it with us!!!!  I was glad to see Doyle and all the people here but sure do miss my kids and grandkids!!!    Saturday the people/kids here were calling to see if I had made it home which made me feel like I had really been missed!!

Sunday morning we had 26 in service...I had 15 up stairs!!  I am praying hard that this year the Lord will send someone to help us...it sure is hard with a group that size with the age span I have.  Would be so good if there was someone else here to help so we could divide the class into atleast 2 groups.  But until then....I will do the best that I can and pray they learn something.

Please pray for Marie...it doesn't look like Tex is going to live much longer...he is in Fargo at the VA hospital and they say he is the coma stage of death.  Marie called late last night and said his breathing was spasmatic and they weren't sure if he would make it through the night.

Expecting up to 7 more inches of snow today through tomorrow night!!!  Smile    Sis. Sheri
