We have had a very interesting weekend with things happening that have never happened before.  Unfortunately...I do not feel at liberty to disclose the information to you on the website considering it goes out over the internet.  All I can say is that we need your prayers more now than we ever did that God will help us make the right choices for the days ahead.  If you what more details pease feel free to call us and we'll be glad to tell you all about it so you will know how to better pray for us and the others involved.

The Radio Station is still going great and reaching out as far as we anticipated.  Ms. Angie can reach it at her house and says she sure is enjoying it!! We're praising the Lord for Bro. Todd and his diligent work on the station.

Praising the Lord even tho I am a little on the tired side right now,    Sis. Sheri

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day...but I'm very tired!!!    The Todd family from Fort Thompson, SD came up yesterday and Bro. Todd got our Radio Station back on the Air...and it reaches out further than it did before....Praise the Lord!!!!   The Ladies from the church helped cook and we had a delicious Turkey dinner with all the "fixins" including Pumpkin Pie!!....had about 46 people here to eat!!!!   Doyle talked a little and then we had a testimony service and Ms. Angie sang "Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me!!"  It was such a blessing!!!!  We have so much to be Thankful for.  I'll be posting a few pictures of the dinner in a day two.

Hope everyone who reads this had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!!

Tomorrow and Saturday will be extremely busy....the truck arrived Wednesday...so now our job begins as we have to sort through the boxes and get things ready to give away.  Alot of things sent were new and designated as Christmas Gifts for the kids and we sure do appreciate everything!!!  The Lord is so good to us here in Cannon Ball!!!!

Sunday's services were good...we had 23 Sunday morning and 19 in the evening service.  This week is going to be very busy.  Last night I had our first choir practice for the Christmas Cantata...picked up 11 of the kids!!!  They seemed really excited about it.   Wednesday a Missionary family (The Todd's)from South Dakota arrive so spend thanksgiving with us...Bro. Todd will be getting the Radio Station going again for us with a stronger transmitter.  Thursday we are having Thanksgiving Dinner for everyone at the church that wants to come followed by a Thanksgiving Testimony Service.  We are looking forward to this.   Friday Dennis Parker arrives with the truck from Tennessee that will have the things people from home have sent for the people here and some things personally for us.....we are excited about that!!!!

One special prayer request....I haven't mentioned "Tex" in quite sometime.....but they have discovered several tumors in his stomach and fear the cancer has now spread....from what I understand they will be doing biopsies sometime this week or next at the hospital in Bismarck and then he will have to go back to Fargo for Radiation and Chemo if that is the course to take.   Just please keep him in your prayers for salvation.

Everyone was so happy to have their Pastor back home Sunday!!  We had a good attendance of 32 Sunday morning and 22 in the evening service.  Sunday morning we had a Welcome home dinner/Farewell Dinner combined since James was leaving.  Ms. Angie donated a Star Quilt that we could give to James as his going away gift which was a real surprise to him.  Ms. Angie and Ms. Joshua treated him like he was their own son and sure did hate to see him leave.  Of course all the kids will miss him and most of them are already asking when he is coming back.

I really had my hands full Sunday morning and evening....in both services the youngest child I had was age 1 and the oldest was 12!!!  The parents still send the young 1 yr. olds upstairs which makes it really hard on me to try to teach.  Basically I have to pick one of the older girls/boys I have to help take care of the little ones....then they don't really get to learn anything.  We are praying about starting a class one night during the week for the older girls for me to teach and then a different night for the boys that Doyle could teach....then if the older ones have to help me with younger ones on Sunday we will atleast know they are learning something in the other classes.  Just help us pray about this.

I've been trying to work on Christmas songs with the kids for a Christmas Cantata but that has been very difficult with the age span I've had......not sure if we're going to be able to have one or not.   Help me pray about this.  I may have to try to gather the older ones up a couple night a weeks for practices the next 2-3 weeks and see if we can learn the songs well enough to have the Cantata on the 13th.

Please continue to remember the family of 4 kids without their parents. They were all here Sunday...I tried to give them all an extra "hug"!!  I just feel so bad for them.   It's so hard to watch things like this happen!!!

My heart is very heavy tonight......four of the kids that come to church all the time are now temporarily without Mother or Father until February due to alcohol....their Father has been in jail for several weeks now and I was told won't be out until the last of Feb.  Then this past weekend their Mother was picked up and I found out tonight it was for DUI and she won't get out until Feb. 7th!!   My heart is so heavy for these kids....not only are they without their parents (their aunt is staying with them at their house)....but they will have to go through the whole Christmas season without either of their parents.   I don't know if this is the first time these kids have been without either parents like this but it's the first time since we have been here.  These kids really need our prayers......as well as the parents....the Mother said she got saved this past summer.  My heart is just so sad and heavy tonight....I feel so bad for the kids.  Please help me pray for this family.

Seems like lately we've had our share of deaths in the community.  Last Sunday there was a teenage boy killed while hunting with his uncle....a freak hunting accident...he fell out of the back of the truck and landed on his gun and it went off and killed him.  He would have graduated from high school this year.  They had his funeral Sunday at 11:00....the same time as our morning service....I was afraid that would cause our number to be way down....it did affect our adult attendance but we still had 22 in the morning service and 18 in the evening.    Then this morning (Monday) we attended a funeral for an elderly gentleman who was the relative of Natalie.  This one was officiated by the Episcoplean Priest....not a whole different from the Catholic funerals I've attended here....no comfort or hope to offer the family.  The main difference was that there was not "Smudging" (burning of the "weeds" to ward off the evil spirits).

I haven't mentioned our prayer request for workers in quite some time.  But James will leaving after the holidays and I am really praying hard the Lord will send someone to help us.  The past couple Sundays with Doyle being gone James has been taking care of the adult services and I have really had my hands full upstairs.  Our child attendance is growing along with the growth of the adult attendance...and some of the older kids can be quite a handful at times.  I've had some pretty rough situations to take care the past couple Sundays and ask for you to please remember me in your prayers that the Lord will give me the wisdom I need in handling the "Problem Kids".

Sunday was  sure different with Doyle being gone!!  James did a good job tho and from the comments I heard..the adults enjoyed his lesson.   They are all asking when their Pastor is coming back...they miss him!!!    Even the kids are asking where Pastor Hall is and when he's coming home.  Makes me feel good to know they miss him so much.   We will ALL be happy when he gets home.  It is such a blessing that James is here so that Doyle was able to make this necessary trip.....once he returns it may be quite some time before he's able to leave again.  From the way he sounds when I've talked to him...I don't think he'll want to go anywhere again for a long time!!  He misses Cannon Ball and the people here as much as they miss him!!!

Sunday morning we had 19 in the service and 20 Sunday night. Charles was here again...Praise the Lord!!!!  One of the families with several kids were gone to Wahpeton, ND to visit Luke and LaShay at Boarding School.   Please continue to pray for Natalie ....looks like she may be getting her daughter Angie back real soon but I believe her son has ask to stay in South Dakota with his Dad for the remainder of the school year.  It has been hard on them being seperated and I hope and pray Natalie will remember that alcohol was the reason she and her kids were apart for so many months.

The Lord is blessing our Thursday night Bible Study and this past week we had 14 present!!!  James taught a very good lesson and everyone enjoyed it.  We had very sweet fellowship afterwards along with refreshments.  God is soooo good!!!!!
