First let me say Thank You to all those who helped us take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday.  They had a really good time and we enjoyed it very much.  With the donations we were also able to take them all to McDonalds for lunch!!  It is so wonderful to see how the Lord blesses and provides our every needs and then above and beyond!!  I am going to try and post some of the pictures in our Picasa Files later on today and will title it "Pumpkin Patch".  Make sure you watch for those.

The Lord has really been blessing our Thursday night Bible Studies and this past Thursday evening we had 16 present which included 2 teenagers and 2 new adults that had never attended.  One of the adults was an Indian Man named Charles...he had attended services on Sunday evening and we were so thrilled when he came to Bible Study.  Charles also was here for BOTH services yesterday!!!

Yesterdays services were wonderful.  We chose this Sunday to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.  The ladies helped me prepare dinner which was a big success (I wasn't sure how they would be about helping out in the food preparation).  We used our Fellowship Trailer for the first time (since Philippi Baptist made all the major repairs) and it was such a blessing.  One of the ladies came and helped me decorate and it looked really nice.  Our attendance was really good....we had 36 yesterday morning and 34 last night!!  Doyle said he knew the Lord dealt with some hearts and one lady sat and cried during the service.  She comes all the time and has told me she knows the Lord is dealing with her....we're praying she will soon surrender her heart to the Lord!!   We took a few pictures which I will try to post in Picasa and will title it "Our 1 Year Anniversary".

One special blessing I want to share.....The Lord laid Mrs. Kelly on my heart when he first called us to Cannon Ball.  Mrs. Kelly owns the Beer Joint across the street.  She is a devout Catholic.  I always go out of my way to speak to her when I see her out in public and wave when I see her outside (the beer joint is across the street and their house sits "way across the road from us").  Well....I made a point to go over and invite her our Anniversary Service Sunday....she ask what time service started and without hesitation said "I'll be there!!'   Service started and she was not there and I kept watching for her....we sang a few songs...and the door opened and in walked Mrs. Kelly!!   I wanted to shout!!!!!   Please keep Mrs. Kelly in prayer.  She may not come back for a long time....but she heard the truth preached and the Lord has promised that His word will not return void!!!   It found a place in her heart and mind.....and I pray that she will not be able to sleep at night until she has to surrender her heart to Him.

Bro. Hobert has been here since last Wednesday and helped us with the finishing touces on the Fellowship Hall.  He left this morning and took Doyle with him.  Doyle will be in the "South" for the next 20 days!!  We haven't been apart for a long time....for atleast 3 years or longer!!!!  But he really needed to go  take care of some things.  On November 1st he will be preaching at our home church in the morning service and will be at Philippi Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN in the evening Service.  Not sure about the Wed. evenings (3 of them) or Sunday, November 8th.  He will be returning home on Saturday, Nov. 14th.  We're Thankful that James is here with me and will be able to take care of the services here while Doyle is gone.   If any Pastor's would like to contact him about an appt. for him to give an update of the work here in Cannon Ball while he's in town...please call 706-934-4555 and I can give you a local number where he can be reached.

I still need sponsors for our trip to the Pumpkin Patch this Saturday, the 24th.  It's only $10 per child which includes their admission plus the extra things they can do while there.  If you would like to help it would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know via eMail or call me at 706-934-4555 if you can help out so I will know how many kids we are going to be able to help with this trip.

Thanks alot........Sis. Sheri

The Lord gave us a beautiful "Indian Summer" Sunday with a temperature of 70 degrees which was a very pleasant break from the freezing weather we have had.  We even had snow earlier in the week.  Along with the warm weather and sunshine we had a good attendance with 24 this morning and 25 this evening.  The adult attendance was very good in both services today and that was a real blessing.  James is such a big help....he leads the singing, sings specials for us and then he helps me upstairs with the kids.  They all love him and he seems to be enjoying it.  This past week he went to Cannon Ball Elementary School and applied to do some Volunteer Work there and is praying about that.  Help us pray with him concerning this....it would be good experience for him along with helping the growth of our Sunday classes also.  Don't know what I will do when he leaves if we have a bunch of new kids come...but the Lord knows all about it.

Yesterday James and I attended a funeral for a 18 year old boy from here in Cannon Ball....that was a quite an experience for him because once again....it was mixed with all the Indian Traditions (drummers, Give-away, huge meal) and Catholic Traditions ("smudging" , "Holy Water" ect...).  The funerals here last about 3 hours!!!!   They are also so sad....the Priest offers no comfort whatsoever to the families......how can he????   There is no peace or comfort without the Lord.

Many of you have ask about Annie.  Her real Father now has custody of her and she is living in Fort Yates with him.  That is about 25 miles from here.  I don't know anything about him.  Met him today for the first time and he seemed nice and concerned about Annie.  Please keep her on your prayer list.

We are looking forward to a visit from Bro. Hobert Pankey this week.  Lord willing, he will arrive sometime the end of this week and be with us for a few days to help Doyle and James do a few things around here to help get our buildings "winterized".  What a blessing Bro. Hobert has been and we always look forward to his visits.   Pray for him this week as he travels.

Enjoying the beautiful warm weather......knowing winter is peaking around the corner.........Sis. Sheri

Our second Sunday in October was rather cold but not as windy which was a blessing!!  We had 16 in our morning service and 14 in the evening.  James, the college student from Cleveland, TN, who is also my great-nephew, arrived at 6am Sunday morning and Doyle had to go to Bismarck to pick him up at the Greyhound Station.  We were very happy to see him and he is going to be a great blessing while he's here.  IN the morning service he led the singing downstairs and he and I sand a special, and then he went upstairs with the kids and I and just sorta watched to see how things were done.  Then in the eveing service I let him teach the lesson.  The kids enjoyed it and I can tell they are going to love having him around.   I have already started teasing him that we might just not let him leave since he did just buy a one way ticket..... But wouldn't it be wonderful if the Lord burdened his heart for the people here and he couldn't leave!!!!

We woke up this morning with snow on the ground...so we have had our first official snowfall.  It wasn't much...but it was there!!!  Snow was still falling but has since stoppped and most of what was on the ground has melted away.

Next Saturday we are taking the kids to the Pumkin Patch in Bismarck.  I have told them they will need their own money...but have my doubts if some of them will have the money to go.  So if any of you would like to sponsor a child's trip to the Pumkin Patch....it will cost $10 per child....there are several things to do there...hay rides, pony rides, choose a pumpkin, corn mazes, hay slide etc....   If you'd like to help out...it would be very much appreciated.

Praising the Lord for All His blessings.............Sis. Sheri

One year ago on the first Sunday in October we held our first service.  We have seen many things happen...some wonderful and some heartbreaking.....and the Lord has been with us every step of the way.  He has supplied our every need and we are so Thankful.  Once again we want to Thank all of you for your faithfulness in love, prayers and support in so many ways.  You are a very important part of our Ministry here and we pray for each of you daily.

Surprisingly, Annie has been released from the hospital.  I have only seen her from a distance and talked to her briefly on the phone so I cannot really say how she is.  I just do not understand how they think that putting her right back into the same environment is the right thing to do....but she has been passed from one family member to another for years.   It is so sad.....she doesn't want to go to school and one day she will probably be successful at the attempt to end her life....unless God interveens.

Haven't figured out what happened to our summer or fall....but they are forecasting 3-5 inches of snow for tonight and tomorrow....already!!!  Last year we didn't get our first snow until after Halloween.  Some say this winter is going to be worse than last....but I'm not worried about it....we know the one who controls it all!!!!  Thinking back to the time we didn't have water in the trailer....then when we got water coming in...it wouldn't go out!!  When things finally began to thaw out...our water froze up for 2 weeks....and then we had to contend with ALL THE MUD!!!   But through it....the Lord was good and we praised His name and tried to see some humor in it all.  The Snow was gorgeous and our few trees and the fields would freeze over each night and glisten in the sun each morning.  What an amazing God we serve to allow us such beautiful sights to remind us of His greatness.

Looking forward to another cold, beautiful, white winter and another wonderful year here in Cannon Ball,        Sis. Sheri
