What a beautiful sunny day the Lord gave us.  In the morning service we had 14 and in the evening there was 21.  Each week seems like the Lord just gives us a little something for an extra blessing!!   Last night one of the newer girls (she's 12 yrs. old) that has been coming since VBS came to me and told me and said...."You know the Bible you gave me during VBS.....I have been reading it alot!!!"   That was a real blessing and I believe the Lord is working on her heart concerning salvation.  Please pray for Moriah!!    Her mother has told us she is going to start coming to the Bible Studies on Thursday evening (we had 13 this past Thursday night) and hopefully to church on Sundays.  They have only lived here about a month and there are 7 children in the home!!!

The Lord is opening doors to more homes each week.  It just takes a lot of Patience and waiting for HIM to work on their hearts.  We are so thankful for everything He has done and look forward to what He is going to do here in Cannon Ball.

Yesterday we had 17 in the morning service and then 15 in the evening.   Another church has started VBS this week so I guess several kids were down there yesterday for their VBS kick-off Sunday.    But we had a good time with the ones that were here....some of the new kids that came to VBS were here yesterday.

Clarice is doing well but she is going to have a battle with her family.  When we picked her up yesterday morning her Husband came out and had been drinking.  But so far he has not tried to prevent her from attending church.  Then last night when we picked her up he was outside and Doyle invited him to come...with no response from him.  Just please pray for Clarice, her husband and the kids.   She has expressed an interest in home-schooling her kids and I am going to do whatever I need to do to help her with this.  In order for her to homeschool....she will need help with the purchase of the curriculum materials for her kids.  We will probably use ACE materials which will be easier and less expensive.    I will share more about this with you in a few days.   But I am thrilled that she wants to home school the kids because that is going to give us daily contact with them and allow us more time to help Clarice grow in the Lord.  Just having them here on Sunday morning and Sunday night for an hour so is NOT enough time!!!

Help us pray about all this....we appreciate everyone!!    Sis. Sheri

VBS ended with a record attendance yesterday of 40 neighborhood kids!!!   We had many new kids during VBS which has opened up the door to many new homes for us to visit.   In the service last night several of the kids wanted to come and they were very good for the most part during the service.  There was one young boy  ( around 10 or so ) that I know the the Lord was dealing with...and he is the Grandson of Ms. Kelly who owns the Beer Joint across the street!!   After the service last night he was on the Van reading a tract to his younger brother that he had gotten out of his Goody Bag we passed out.   Please pray that this young boy will continue to come.

Along with the good results we've had....Satan is also fighting and has tried to throw an Obstacle in the way.  But the Lord is in control and He will take care of it all!!    Clarice's husband is giving her a problem...so please keep her in your prayers.  She came last night.....but she sure does need our prayers!!!

The group is on their way home.....pray for their safety while traveling.   Sure did hate to see them leave!!!!   What a blessing they all were......I hope that they all received a blessing while here and a burden for the people here in Cannon Ball.

We are praising the Lord for last night's service.....Clarice got saved!!!!!!  Not only Clarice but a young lady from our home church, Jessica Smith, also got saved!!!! We have been praying for Clarice for quite some time and knew that the Lord had been dealing with her concerning her salvation and were overjoyed to see her walk down that aisle last evening!!!!  It really takes alot for a Native American to come forward in front of a crowd and kneel down at the altar and shed tears.....but when the Lord breaks their heart over their lost condition......they will forget about all those around them!!!   Please pray for Clarice...she will have a hard time at home...her husband just returned home yesterday from jail (he was in for public drunkeness at the latest pow-wow here in Cannon Ball), and all of her sisters along with her Dad are alcoholics.  We will be there for her as much as she will allow us to be and of course pray and encourage her!!!!

Jessica thought she was saved and after the service was over last night and most of us were already outside or over at the house....she told our Pastor, Bro. Rick Spence, that she needed to be saved...and there in the back of the church by the steps that go up to the Sunday School rooms, Jessica asked the Lord to come into her heart !!!!     We were all thrilled for her and are still praising the Lord for his mercy and grace to us all!!!

It rained yesterday (and is raining right now but should clear up before VBS time today) and we had 23 kids yesterday.  But then last night in the services we had several of them that wanted to come that I didn't know about so I didn't go pick them up in the van....and their Dad dropped them off.  These were some of the new kids we've gained for VBS.  I just thought it was really wonderful that they wanted to come to church enough that they had their Dad bring them and that the Dad actually would bring them!!!   With alot of prayer (and patience), the Lord is going to begin working on the hearts of these parents and they are going to start coming!!!

One special prayer request I want to leave you with....there are 3 young boys around the ages of 8 or so by the names of Malachi, Junior and DeRon that I would like for you to pray for.  These 3 boys seem to be a constant problem for us when it comes to being disruptive in class.  I have done about everything I can think of (especially for DeRon).....and then the Lord reminded me yesterday morning....."You haven't prayed enough for them and you haven't ask others to help you pray for them"....so I am asking....PLEASE help me pray for these 3 boys!!!!    All 3 of them have rough home lives and I think sometimes they are so frustrated with things at home...they come here with anger built up inside.   With God ALL things are possible....he can turn the lives of these boys around and it is possible they are the ones He has chosen to help win this Reservation to the Lord!!!   Put them on your prayer list....pray daily for Malachi, Junior, DeRon and of course...Clarice!!

Since I last posted a blog.....our daughter Rachelle and the grandkids arrived safely on Tuesday....soooooooooo happy to see them!!!    Then on Saturday the group (of 13)  from our home church arrived.  Today, Sunday, we had 62 in the morning service and then our first night of VBS there were 52 present!!   Praise the Lord.  Out of the 62 in the morning service....29 of those were adults!!!!    So VBS has started out very good and we are looking forward to Monday-Wednesday.  VBS is from 2-4 pm and then we are having evening services also.  It's going to be a busy week but we are loving every minute of it!!

Pray for a good turn out the rest of the week.          Sis. Sheri

Well....we have experienced our 1st July 4th holiday on the Reservation.......and it had quite an affect on our attendance this Sunday.   Everybody in Cannon Ball must have stayed up most of the night on Saturday because there were fireworks going off all over the place until around 3am!!  Not just small firecrackers....BIG fireworks.  When we started picking up for Sunday morning service most of the kids were still in bed!!   So.....in the morning service we had our lowest attendance in quite sometime...total of only 11.  Sunday evening wasn't any better..(11 again)....everyone was still having parties or gone.    But Praise the Lord....with the ones that did come we had a good time and the kids were very attentive.

Tomorrow we go pick up Rachelle (our youngest daughter) and her 3 kids at the airport.   We're soooo excited!!!!!  I can't believe it's been 10 months since we've seen them.....I am ready to give my grandkids a BIG hug and enjoy their company....they will be here for almost a month.    The same day Rachelle and her family leave...our oldest daughter's family (Elena, James and Gabby) arrive and they will be with us for 2 weeks!!   All 3 of our kids will have been to visit us this summer....how the Lord has Blessed us this year!!!!!!

We are also excited about our home church group arriving on Saturday for VBS.  We'll be having Bible School Sunday-Wednesday in the afternoon and then evening services.    We're praying that there will be a good attendance for all of it.

Excited about what the Lord is doing,         Sis. Sheri
