Thursday Afternoon the group from Philippi Baptist Church arrived.  There were 9 men, 3 ladies and 1 little girl (our granddaughter!!).  They brought Doyle a BIG surprise....his Youngest Brother Larry and his sister Shirley were with them!!  What a wonderful job the group did while here.  They finished the upstairs Sunday School rooms by filling the sheetrock, sanding and painting the walls, then laying the carpet.  They look GREAT!!!   Then...they did some work to the bathrooms downstairs and Doyle should be able to finish them easily by himself.  The fellowship trailer was the real challenge for them. They replaced all the windows with nice, new ones.  Tore out and replaced the living room and kitchen floor and put down some beautiful linoleum. Brought a Refrigerator donated by our Daughter and son-in-law, Elena and James.  Fixed the Living room and kitchen ceiling and put in new lights.  Built a new front porch.  Along with all this a much needed commercial steel back door was also installed in the church building!!   All the before and after pictures are posted in Picasa under the folder titled "Philippi Mission Trip".    On Sunday morning Doyle had another BIG surprise....Bro. Hobert from our home church drove up with the VAN!!!  Everyone but Doyle knew he was coming!!!!   It is sooo nice and has "NEW LIFE BAPTIST MISSION, CANNON BALL ND" in white letters on both sides!!   The Lord is sooooo good to us!!!   Bro. Hobert drove the van Sunday morning and I rode along and we picked up 22 kids for Sunday School!!!  We divided the classes into a boys/girls class and 2 ladies from Philippi Baptist taught the girls and 2 men taught the boys!!   It was a pleasant break for me to get to enjoy the service downstairs.  One of the guys with the Philippi Group was actually from Clingan Ridge Baptist in Cleveland, Tn and he sang a special song and our son Keith sang a special.  We had a total of 46 in the service!!!  After the service Philippi supplied the food and we grilled out Hamburger/Hot dogs and all the fixins for everyone and played games with the kids along with horseshoes with some of the adults.   It was a great day!!!    Early Monday morning the guys left and then Hobert, Doyle's brother, sister and the other lady that came left around 9 or so.  We were sad to see them all leave.  Keith, Jennifer and Paige are with us until Saturday evening.

Bro. Todd arrived this afternoon and is working on getting the Radio Station on the air....Praise the Lord!!!   Joan Lindsey is scheduled to arrive Thursday evening and will be with us the rest of June.

Pray for us as things are beginning to start rolling for the summer months ahead.       Sis. Sheri

Today was a pleasant day outside...a very calm breeze and warm temps.....we had 14 in the morning service and 10 in the evening service.  Please pray for Clarice...she has been very faithful the past couple weeks and is completing the Bible study lessons with very good grades.   Also remember Natasha in your prayers (one of the girls in the choir) she cut her ankle/foot very bad last weekend and had alot of stitches and it has gotten infected.  She was in the hospital Friday and was not here today because she's in Bismark at an Aunt's house.

We have been very anxious for this week to arrive.  A work crew from Philippi Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tn arrives on Thursday and with that group will be our Son, Keith, his wife, Jennifer, and our granddaughter, Paige!!!  The church crew will be working on the Sunday School rooms, bathrooms and the Brown fellowship Trailer.  They will leave the following Monday evening but Keith and his family will be with us until May 30th and then they will fly home. Please pray for them as they travel.    It's been 8 long months since we've seen any of our family...so we are very excited!!!!  We are planning a big day next Sunday with a special service, a cookout afterwards along with fun and games for everyone.  Pray that we will have a good turnout and the weather will be nice!!

Also, Joan Lindsey and her daughter,  from New Life Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tn will arrive on the 28th.  Joan is going to stay for the month of June but her daughter will only be with us for a week.  I have been VERY excited about Joan coming.....it will soooo good to have someone to help me with the Sunday School Classes!!

Thank You for all your love, prayers and support.  We're looking forward to a wonderful summer!!!         Sis. Sheri

Our First Mother's Day in North Dakota we had 5 Mother's present!!!  A total of 17 in the morning service and 14 in the evening.  We gave each of the Mother's a Flower and the kids made them all a Mother's Day card (covered with Glitter!!!!) in Sunday School Class.

We had a surprise phone call last night from a friend we had not heard from in several years.  Their oldest son, who will be graduating this next year, may be interested in spending the summer with us to help out in the Day Camp we are praying about having.  Please keep this a matter of prayer.  We want the Lord to have His way in it all.

Some of our regulars were gone this Sunday but we still had 18 Sunday morning.  I had 2 new boys come and 1 little girl that had not been here in quite awhile.  Sunday night we only had 9.  Please help us pray that the warm weather won't effect our Sunday evening services too much.  The kids get outside playing on Sunday afternoon and they get no encouragement whatsoever from their parents/grandparents when it comes church time on Sunday evening....but I did have a 6 year old boy that chose to come to church over playing on the trampoline with all the other kids....so that was blessing to me!!

One special prayer request that is heavy on our hearts is for a 14 year old girl that recently tried to commit suicide.  We have been given special permission to visit her in the hospital and have been to visit her twice.  It has been over a week since she was admitted and none of her family has been to see her yet.  Please keep her in your prayers....I do not feel at liberty to give you her name.....just pray for her.  She needs the Lord to fill that void in her heart and life.

Today our water pressure was very low....the first thing we thought was "OH NO...the water line has busted!!"  But Praise the Lord...when we returned from Bismarck....pressure was back to normal.      PRAISE THE LORD for running, HOT water!!!!!!   God is sooooo good to us.

Praising the Lord for EVERYTHING.................Sis. Sheri
