Praise the Lord for Bro. Kevin Daves....he has worked on the Video and now has it posted in on our Picasa web albums in the Easter 2009 Folder.  Hope you enjoy it!!   Like I said before....it's not perfect..but it will have to bless your heart as you watch them sing!!

I woke up this morning thinking about the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us.  We seem to forget to Thank God for the what we classify as the "simple" things in life like running water, hot water, heat, electricity, food, clothing and then also things like truth, honesty, love, friendship and life itself.  Within the past week God answered our prayers and gave us a Van and our wonderful home church (New Life Baptist Church in Dalton, GA) took up a love offering to purchase us a new hot water heater.  Doyle helped Bro. Hobert install the hot water heater so we now have hot water in the parsonage after 5 long months without it.  The Lord is just so good to us!!

I added truth, honesty and love to the above list because most of the ones we are involved with don't understand the importance of those words.  The kids see the adults seemingly "get away" with being dishonest and they follow right along in their footsteps.  But we know the One who can make the difference in their lives!!!  The Lord Jesus Christ.

Bro. Hobert and Sis. Edna are on their way home.   Please pray for their traveling safety.

Praising the Lord for all His Blessings,     Sis. Sheri.

Sunday we had 16 in the morning service and 6 in the evening service.  There was 1 new girl that came both services.  For the first time we were able to split the kids into 2 classes with Sis. Edna teaching the older kids.  It was such a blessing!!  The kids enjoyed it and I definitely enjoyed it....If possible, we would all keep her!!!

We have been praying about a van and the Lord has ANSWERED that prayer!!  Smryna Baptist Church in Chatsworth, Ga has DONATED a van!!!  PRAISE THE LORD!!  For those of you who have sent in monetary donations towards the purchase of a van....it will be used to buy new tires, any maintenance issues, tags, insurance and make sure it is ready for this northern weather, and the trip up here.  Thank You to everyone that generously gave....we appreciate it very much.

One special prayer request.....we have a very special friend, Bro. Ralph Hamby, that went home to be with the Lord yesterday morning.  Mrs. Hamby and the family need your prayers as they face the difficult days ahead.

Woke up to a surprise this morning....it was snowing!!  What happened to my spring weather????  It's just snow flurries and it's not laying....just a reminder that God is in control and apparently He feels we need some more white flakes!!!!

Bro. Hobert and Sis. Edna arrived safely on Wed. evening.  We are so happy to have company and are enjoying it very much.  This morning Doyle and Hobert are gone to Bismarck and Edna and I are going through some SS material to prepare for Sunday morning.  Tonight 2 of the girls want to spend the night with us so we'll see how that goes!!

We have something we are praying about concerning this summer and will share it with you as soon as the Lord gives us liberty to do so.  In the meantime....please keep us in your prayers.

Once again.....from the snowy Prarie.......Sis. Sheri

Sunday was a beautiful sunny day with some definite signs that Spring may be upon us....Praise the Lord!!!  We had 16 in our morning service with 2 new adults present!!  Our evening service there was 11 present.  The kids are already asking when they are going to be able to wear their Choir Outfits and sing again!!  We have started to learn some new songs and will probably sing again when the group from Philippi Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee are here next month.  I am not sure what the status is on the Video of the choir singing Easter Sunday but as soon as Kevin lets me know I will pass that info on to everyone.

Since this will be our first summer here....I am not sure how easy/hard it is going to be to keep the attendance of the kids up.  There really isn't much for them to do in Cannon Ball other than "walk the streets", which gets them into a lot of trouble.  Like I said before, they get no encouragement from their parents/grandparents when it comes to church attendance...so if something else seems more "enticing" at the moment...then that is what they choose!!  Please help me pray about this.

Ms. Angie (our 70 yr. old lady on crutches) had knee replacement surgery last Tuesday and is recovering very nicely.  She was released from the hospital on Friday and has a granddaughter staying with her.  Even tho she is on a walker and was just released Friday....she was at church Sunday morning....Praise the Lord for her faithfulness!!!

Thank You so much for your love and prayers,          Sis. Sheri

Easter Sunday started out with Satan trying his best to put a damper on the service.  I picked up the kids in the choir an hour early so we could practice one more time and then they could change into their outfits.  Then I went back to pick up the parents/grandparents.  On my second load of the adults, Doyle met me in the truck and told me that Angie (the elderly lady that is on crutches and drives) was stuck in the mud in her driveway so I needed to go pick her up.  At that time I had a 12 yr. old girl with me and Alvera (the lady that just got out of the hospital a couple weeks ago) and she is now using a walker.  So we took off to Angie's and I got my car stuck in the mud along side of hers!!  I told her to go back inside and call the Pastor and tell him to come get us in the Big truck with the guy from New Mexico that was visiting us!!   So they came, hooked a chain to my car, and pulled us out back wards about halfway down her long driveway!!  By the time they got through pulling us out my car had a gorgeous new "Easter Outfit" of Mud !!  On one side it Looked sorta like a Dalmatian.    We finally got back to church and about 11:30 service began.  One thing we didn't have to worry about was anyone leaving....cause I had picked everyone up!!!!

Anyway....the Youth Choir sang and did a great job!!  I have some pictures in our Picasa Album titled "Easter 2009".  Hopefully in a couple days, Kevin will have the quirks worked out of the video and have it on the website for all to see!!  I was really proud of the kids....they sang their hearts out and enjoyed it and may not have been Perfect in Harmony and on key....but it sounded WONDERFUL it to me and to the LORD also!!!!   Doyle preached a wonderful message titled "Have you been resurrected?"    We had 25 in attendance in the morning service and 11 in the evening.

There are some situations here with some of the kids that I would really like for everyone to pray about.  I am not at liberty to go into detail .....but when you pray remember the kids here.  Some of them are facing some changes in their homes that are not good at all and it breaks my heart!!

Serving the Lord on the Prairie that looks like might be having some beginning signs of Spring!!!       Sis. Sheri

What a beautiful Sunny Day the Lord gave us!! Still a little on the cold side with some wind, but the sun was shining and the snow began to melt.  We had 11 in attendance for the morning service and 16 in the evening service.  There was one new elderly lady in the evening service and she along with her daughter (Little Angie's mother) both wanted to start the Home Bible Studies so we gave them the first one!!  Angies Mother, Natalie, has been coming on Sunday and said she really enjoys it...pray that she keeps coming.

Each day is a new experience and we never really know what to expect from these people.  In the morning service we had a new experience that I really don't feel at the liberty to share the details with you......but Satan will use whatever means he can to destroy what little we have built so far....and he will use whoever he can...not matter what age they are.  We have to remind ourselves to leave these situations in the Lord's hands and let Him take care of them...and He will!!  Which is just what we did and the Lord did take care of it.  I know Satan will try again and again because He doesn't want these people to change...this town is wicked and that's the way he wants it to stay.

This coming Sunday is Easter and the kids are getting very excited about singing.  I have all the skirts to make this week along with the choir practicing twice during the week and then a full schedule on Saturday.  Doyle is also scheduled to preach at an all day Fellowship Meeting for Missionaries in Fort Thompson, SD on Friday.  We also have a family from Dulce, NM that will be here for Easter weekend with us.  They are friends with Bro. Rome Wager.  So it's going to be a full, busy week!!

Please continue to pray about our parking lot situation.....with the snow melting the mud only gets worse.  My poor car!!!!   Yesterday I actually had mud slung all the way on top of the car from where I had to get a "running" shot going in out in order NOT to get stuck!!!  Of course the kids think it's great and the adults just hold their breathe hoping they won't have to get out and help push!!!!  But...the Lord knows all about it and we're praising Him for EVERYTHING!!!!!

Happily serving the Lord whether snow, mud and even when we had no water (but sure praising the Lord He has answered that prayer!!!)    Sis. Sheri!!!

I am in the middle of working on our Feb/March Prayer letters and just had to stop and add this blog.    This week has been quite a week for us.  It began with the Blizzard on Sunday/Monday that left us with the 2+ feet of fresh new snow.  We did make some snow cream which was delicious.  I had never made snow cream before...as I took my first bite I looked at Doyle and said  "Who said we were gonna starve!!!!"   Then on Wednesday we dug our car out and went to Bismarck.  When we got back home the wind had already blown the snow back into our drive and we got the car stuck!!  We left it there and Doyle dug it out later.  We weren't able to have Bible study that night.  We dug the car out again and yesterday we went back into Bismarck and the water pump went out in the car!!  We did make it back home and Monday it is going to the shop in Solen to get a new water pump installed.  Then this morning Doyle got the truck stuck in the snow.  They say it's supposed to snow again sometime this evening...but not very much (we hope!!).   Anyway.....it has been a week of "events".....but the best was yet to come!!!!!    As I were sitting here working on the prayer letters....I was at the computer...Doyle was sitting in the kitchen stuffing the envelopes and sealing them...al of the sudden he said..."We have Water!!!"   Of course...I thought he was joking....but there it was...water running out of the kitchen faucet!!!   So PRAISE THE LORD...OUR WATER IS ON!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to share that with everyone because we know you have been praying about our water and the Lord has heard and answered those prayers!!
